It was estimated that the Dubai government spent $7 billion to organize the event, this is a development step to enhance tourism and investment in the Emirate of Dubai. 200 pavilions were built with different celebrations and various events from each country.

The importance of Expo Dubai lies in the fact that it’s the first time in history, e.g., in the last 170 years, Expo will be held in the Middle East. And 25 million visitors from around the world are expected to come.

A Special Passport for Expo Visitors

A special Expo passport has been launched containing 50 pages with designs and photos for all the 200 pavilions, and the Expo passport holder can enjoy a tour around the world for a period of 182 days, and which he/she can use as a regular passport.

The Expo passport contains features that keep its holder safe, such as a special number that looks like a national number, and space to add a personal photo, and it will receive a special stamp to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates.

Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2021

Saudi Arabia shines in its celebrations, which always receive great and global importance, and managed to excel in the Riyadh season and shine at Expo Dubai at the same time.

Under the title “The Window of the Future”, the Saudi Pavilion building was designed by Spanish architect Boris Micka Associates, and the design is based on renewable energy and zero carbon impacts.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the details of its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, and the exhibition pavilion was considered the second largest space among all exhibitions. The Saudi festival in Expo focuses on the kingdom’s historical culture and represents its future through presentations that highlight the societal and technological development in the Kingdom through that mix between the past and the present life in the kingdom.

The Chairman of the Kingdom’s Board of Directors, Mohammed Al‑Tuwaijri, who is the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, stated:

“This exceptional and innovative design exemplifies the Kingdom’s determination to deliver on its promise to be an ambitious nation while conveying a message of dynamism and partnership with the world. All Saudis can be proud of the vision this pioneering pavilion provides to the world, and we look forward to inviting global citizens to participate in the exciting story of our thriving and vibrant society. “.
